Engadiner Skimarathon

Peter Klaunzer

A three-lane road uphill. With the leaders way ahead across the hills, the rest of the competitors get stuck at bottlenecks such as this one. On Sunday 10 March 2013, around 12 500 cross-country skiers took part in the 45th edition of the Engadin Skimarathon in the canton of Grison. The route stretches across 42 km from Maloja to S-Chanf. The winner reached the finish line in 1 hour and 28 minutes; it took the last one 6 hours and 21 minutes.
