The canton of Jura has a lot of work to do right now to defend its railway. Its regional lines are threatened by the assessment launched by the Federal Office of Transport, but it must also remain very attentive to another issue that is very important for its development: its direct rail connection to the new Rhine-Rhône TGV line. The French government is dragging its feet on reopening the Delle-Belfort line, which was closed 20 years ago and which would allow Biel and Delémont to directly connect to the new TGV station that came into service at the end of last year.
