Switzerland lost 1-0 to Argentina in the round of 16 after extra time and was forced to return home. Shortly after the disappointment over the vote on the popular initiative "Against Mass Immigration," it did not go unnoticed that the Swiss national team fielded the most multicultural team for the World Cup in Brazil. Fifteen Swiss national players have ties to 13 different countries. In the moment of the football defeat, in the state of shock, however, this is forgotten. We are a single, transnational grieving family.
