We accompany Marcel Meichtry, a Solthurn native with Valais roots, into the Middle Ages. In a so-called live role-playing game, he and 7,000 other players experience life from a bygone era for a week. This game world is inspired by historical models, but also fantasy worlds like Lord of the Rings, etc. This article explains why Marcel Meichtry pursues this special hobby and offers the layperson an extraordinary insight into an alien world.

Stefan Lanz schreibt, filmt, moderiert und fotografiert seit 2021 für 20 Minuten. Schwerpunkt ist die Berichterstattung aus dem Bundeshaus. Er ist seit 2009 als Journalist tätig und hat seine Journalismus-Ausbildung in Luzern absolviert, danach hat er sich in die Feinheiten des Berner Politikbetriebs eingearbeitet. Nach Stationen bei regionalen Medien berichtet er seit 2017 aus dem Bundeshaus.
