Victims' lawyers accuse the state of negligence

One dead and 43 injured, including two paraplegics. This is the heavy toll of the disaster that broke out on the night of November 17 at the Tattes asylum seekers' home in Vernier (GE). Whose fault is it? The state is shielding itself, the courts are questioning two applicants. The rest are silent. Except for the lawyers of a dozen victims. One of them testifies to her pain. The lawyers accuse the State of Geneva of negligence. A damning report from the firefighters speaks of technical problems in the building. The impact is enormous. The Public Prosecutor's Office searches three state departments on December 18. The investigation takes a new turn.
