Ruined after the death of her husband.

Philippe Maeder

Vivian, 38, was left bankrupt after the death of her husband, who died after remaining in a vegetative state for two years. A bee sting caused him to go into anaphylactic shock. The court ruled that this mother of two must pay CHF 160,000 in accommodation costs to the nursing home that took in her husband in a vegetative state. Not the insurance company.
