Death metal legend Tom Gabriel Fischer (Celtic Frost) went through hell as a child. As a six-year-old, he mostly lived alone in a house in the Zurich lowlands. His mother, a smuggler, left the boy alone with 90 cats, feces, urine, and a key around his neck.
