For 49 years, Alfred Hächler, better known by his nickname "The Hermit," has lived there for part of the summer. The rest of the time, the dashing octogenarian stays in a caravan at the La Tène campsite. Or he travels.

Né à Fribourg, David Marchon se forme à L’Ecole de photographie de Vevey. Après l’obtention de son diplôme en 1995, il travaille trois ans comme photographe freelance; en 1998, il est engagé par les quotidiens neuchâtelois L’Express et L’Impartial. Son univers premier est donc celui de la presse (quotidiens et magazines), dans lequel il privilégie le portrait. Depuis quatre ans il partage un atelier photo avec un collègue photographe à Serrières, et à côté de la photo de presse, qu’il continue d’exercer dans les journaux neuchâtelois, il s’est spécialisé dans la photo de portraits, publicitaire et se donne du temps pour ses projets personnels. Il vit et travaille actuellement à Dompierre et Neuchâtel.
