CONTRAST - Life in Switzerland is very uneven in terms of temperatures these days. While the vast majority of residents on the Central Plateau are freezing in the fog, those living above 600m can practically walk around in a T-shirt. Né à Fribourg, David Marchon se forme à L’Ecole de photographie de Vevey. Après l’obtention de son diplôme en 1995, il travaille trois ans comme photographe freelance; en 1998, il est engagé par les quotidiens neuchâtelois L’Express et L’Impartial. Son univers premier est donc celui de la presse (quotidiens et magazines), dans lequel il privilégie le portrait. Depuis quatre ans il partage un atelier photo avec un collègue photographe à Serrières, et à côté de la photo de presse, qu’il continue d’exercer dans les journaux neuchâtelois, il s’est spécialisé dans la photo de portraits, publicitaire et se donne du temps pour ses projets personnels. Il vit et travaille actuellement à Dompierre et Neuchâtel.
