In 1963, the news spread like wildfire around Lake Hallwil and from there throughout Switzerland. Two fathers drove their 9.1-ton "Henschel" truck onto the frozen Lake Hallwil in Meisterschwanden, broke through, and drowned. Fifty years later, the Aargauer Zeitung met the two eyewitnesses who were the first on the scene.
