In August, I boarded the Aquarius. Its days were numbered. Europe no longer wanted NGOs in the Mediterranean. After 9 days of patrol in rough seas, rescuers spotted two boats. 141 survivors were soon on deck. It would take 5 days for the EU to decide to open a port for them. I tried to bring those 5 days to life for the listener. Here are the first 3 episodes.
