Free Libya

Pascal Mora

On August 17, I traveled to Benghazi to assess the situation on the ground. Shortly thereafter, I had the opportunity to travel by boat from an NGO to the war-torn city of Misrata, located about 280 km east of Tripoli. Barely had I arrived when it soon became clear that the rebels would attack the capital Tripoli from the west and that Gaddafi's fall would only be a matter of days. On August 26, I finally reached Tripoli. The submitted images are a cross-section from east to west, from Benghazi to Tripoli.
