Even 100 years after the start of the First World War, farmers in Ypres, Belgium, are still plowing unexploded ordnance from their fields every day. The military recommends immediately cordoning off the area when unexploded ordnance is found, but farmers rarely want to go to this trouble and are extremely pragmatic in their handling of the fragile ordnance.
