Recreational and elite sports, and sports policy are a key focus of the "Bieler Tagblatt," a newspaper serving the Swiss Federal Institute of Sport in Magglingen. This series presents the City of Biel's Sport-Culture-Studium (SKS) project, a national pioneering project launched in 2003. Talented athletes from the fields of sport, music, and culture attend regular school classes. Each episode focuses on a current topic, such as the role of parents, the learning behavior of talented athletes, or the political environment. Despite success with role models like Ariella Kaeslin and positive assessments from the University of Bern, the Sport-Culture-Studium program is still in its project phase – due to a lack of funding and regional considerations.
