Nadja Schildknecht photographed for the Encounter section of Annabelle, published on August 31, 2011, at Club Kaufläuten in Zurich. For me, the challenge here was to stage a woman who has been photographed thousands of times, and whose face is very present in Switzerland thanks to the Zurich Film Festival, in such a way that, despite the abundance of existing images of her, one would want to look at them. It was very important to me to tell a story with the images, to try to cast a new perspective on her, and to create a sense of closeness.
