En raison de la secheresse et de la fuite de l'eau dans des siphons naturels il n'y plus d'eau dans le Doubs hormis quelques gouilles ou survivent quelques truites. Le defile d'Entreroche a pied sec. Normalement des centaines de m3 d'eau s enfilent dans ces rapides.

An imposing river dried up for miles: the spectacle provided by the Doubs between Morteau and Pontarlier was seen around the world. The cause was drought and geological faults in the riverbed, which dried up the river for miles along the Swiss border.
