Because there's not much going on during the summer holidays, the az Aargauer Zeitung not only reduced its four regional editions to one (az Summer). As an added value, the editorial team also engaged with readers: They hiked through the canton of Aargau in 25 stages and reported daily via multimedia. The event was announced in advance with a keepable insert and prominently featured on the front page on the day it started. The coverage concluded with a summary (3,695 participants) and a photo page of the magical hiking moments.
