What does it feel like to wear a full veil? Journalist Aline Jaccottet wanted to get to the bottom of it. Photographer Mercedes Riedy followed her, from the dressing room to the streets of Lausanne and Fribourg, to gather the views of passersby. The end result was an explosive experience, an endless debate about a piece of fabric that barely conceals some not-so-feminist political intentions.
