Hansruedi Blaser makes collars in his saddlery in the Emmental Valley. These are stiff, padded rings that are placed around the necks of working horses and allow the pulling force to be distributed effectively across the chest, shoulders, and withers. Up to 40 hours of traditional craftsmanship go into a single collar.
