Almost 40 years after the end of the war against the USA, Vietnam is still struggling with the consequences. During the war, the USA sprayed the dioxin-containing herbicide Agent Orange, poisoning nature, animals, and people. The aim was to expose hidden transport routes, destroy the enemy's cover, and devastate their food supply. People are still suffering the consequences today.

Roland Schmid wurde 1966 in Basel geboren. Nach seiner Fotografenlehre bei Hugo Jaeggi machte er sich selbständig. Roland Schmid arbeitet heute als freischaffender Fotograf für zahlreiche nationale und internationale Zeitungen und Zeitschriften, sowie für Firmen und Hilfsorganisationen.
