On May 31, 2011, more than a thousand people in Heimiswil paid their respects to a police officer who had been killed in action a few days earlier. The 39-year-old officer had been shot during a forced eviction in Schafhausen in the Emmental valley. The case had moved the whole of Switzerland. This article is about the moving memorial service.
