To celebrate its anniversary in early summer 2010, the Solothurn Advisory Center for the Visually Impaired offered blindfolded city tours for sighted people. It's a self-experiment, using a microphone, to experience a city with other senses, allowing you to perceive much more than you can see. And the sense of humor is by no means lost.
