Because ballot papers had been manipulated, Grégory Logean of the Lower Valais SVP wanted to postpone the swearing-in of the Council of State. However, he failed to do so during the inaugural session. The party is now hoping for support from the Federal Supreme Court. Oskar Freysinger, who was absent, was nevertheless voted out of office and lost his seat to political newcomer Frédéric Favre of the FDP.

After an intense internship as wire photographer for the press photo agency KEYSTONE-SDA and likewise as staff photographer at the renowned Swiss newspaper Neue Zürcher Zeitung NZZ, today I'm working as a freelance photographer for national and international newspapers, magazines, companies and agencies. As a Swiss country bumpkin I grew up in a remote alpine environment.
