In Western Australia, a massive gas project has deeply divided the local Indigenous population. Plans for a massive gas project in the Kimberley region are off the table for now. Many activists are happy about this. But the conflict between the extractive industry and Indigenous peoples no longer follows clear lines. This text was written by Australian correspondent Heidi Gmür. The report was shot in mid-March 2013 in Broome, Western Australia.
