As the Swiss financial center struggled for months to resolve its tax dispute with the United States at the end of 2013, one might have thought that American clients would desert Swiss banks. This is not the case, at least not at Vontobel, which, despite the tense situation between the two countries, has built a business model that continues to attract American clients, even those domiciled on American soil.
