The true dancers on the former Vogt Drahtwerke site in Reinach are the machinists on their excavators. Like animal trainers, they guide the heavy machinery with precision and finesse early in the morning on the demolition site. The choreography emerges from the daily business. While one excavator carves out the basement wall, a second lifts the concrete floor slab from its joints. Meanwhile, the third shifts the earth with its large bucket. Demolition is progressing rapidly. Where only a few weeks ago there were still halls, the foundations are now being dug so that construction can soon begin on a new one.
