Because they feared counter-protests and ­riots, the authorities refused permission for the annual conference of the Islamic Central Council. The Association of Islamic Youth Switzerland does not want to accept this and calls for a rally, which is authorised. Roughly 300 people gather at the Georges-Python square on 29 November 2014. The atmosphere remains peaceful.

Né à Genève en 1966, Olivier Vogelsang est reporter-photographe depuis plus de 25 ans. Ses images sur les conflits civils dans les Balkans, au Proche-Orient et en Afrique lui ont valu plusieurs distinctions, telles que le 1er prix à sept reprises dans différentes catégories du Swiss Press Photo. ou le prix Nicolas Bouvier. Il a également réalisé différents reportages à plus long terme, notamment sur la Suisse et ses paradoxes, qui a conduit à la publication de Switzerlanders en 2012 aux éditions d’autre part. Il a également effectué un travail sur les salons de Palexpo à Genève, Grand-messe, paru en 2017 chez Till Schaap Edition et Fractures en 2018, un livre de reportage qui retrace 25 ans de mémoire photographique.
