An anti-fascist carnival paraded through the streets of Lausanne. Around 6,000 people responded to the call from several groups. The costumed procession was marked by symbolic actions, including the destruction of a piñata in the likeness of Donald Trump, smoke bombs set off around the statue of William Tell, and the planting of vegetables. The demonstration concluded with a bonfire at Place des Pionnières.
