WESTERN ( Route de Sézegnin, Avusy, ) Le moto-cross n'est pas un sport encouragé car trop bruyant et polluant. Ainsi « Les Meyrinos » doivent faire avec peu. Ces contraintes donnent un charme fou à l'endroit.

The autumn and winter of 2017/18 in the canton of Geneva provide the setting for these pictures of recreational activities. Genevans display their sporty as well as their social sides, including at the Motocross Club Les Meyrinos in Avusy (34), at a football tournament in the heart of the future eco-quarter Les Vergers in Meyrin (36), or while paddling in the Rhône under the motorway bridge of Vernier (37). “Les Givrés” (the frosty ones) are, as ever, undeterred from bathing in the icy waters of Lake Geneva at the Bains des Pâquis beach on 21st February (35).
