In Basel-Stadt and Baselland, the population voted on reunification in 2014. Shortly before the vote, I explained why this won't happen. And why it's a good thing for Basel-Landschaft to remain independent: It's a unique opportunity for a canton to which its residents have pledged eternal love and loyalty. You are and will remain Basel-Landschaft residents.
