In the Almeria region of southern Spain, vegetables are grown on an area of approximately 35,000 hectares, primarily exported to Central Europe. The cultivated area is continuously growing and is considered Europe's largest plastic sea. The greenhouses are located between the coast and the Sierra Nevada.
