Our data journalism group's first crowdsourcing experiment: Where do the greatest dangers lurk in Bern's traffic? The feedback exceeded all expectations: around 700 entries on the specially programmed map, along with approximately 12,000 ratings of these entries. The map resulted in around half a dozen journalistic articles online and in print—for example, about illegal car races in Bern West. A very similar crowdsourcing project was also implemented a few months later by the online editorial team of the Süddeutsche Zeitung.
