2015 was considered the anniversary year for the Battle of Morgarten and Marignano. Less attention was paid to the historically much more significant anniversary – the 200th anniversary of the Congress of Vienna. For the city of Biel, this marked the (unintentional) incorporation into the Canton of Bern. This article was the first to publish the letters from the Biel delegate, Heilmann, to his father in the press.
