Ticino ornithologist Chiara Scandolara discovered the wintering grounds of the barn swallows in the Magadino Plain. After visiting the swallows' mound in Nigeria, it became clear: these migratory birds can only be protected if the people of Cross River National Park are also helped. The barn swallows connect two communities halfway around the world: Ticino and Ebbaken Boje.
