On July 6, 2019, a severe thunderstorm swept across Central Switzerland. Wind gusts reached 135 km/h, the third-highest recorded since the introduction of standardized wind speed measurements in 1981. At the football tournament in Unterägeri, organizers had their hands full trying to cope with the wind and weather.
