Hope ends in Como: the makeshift camp at the station.

During the summer of 2016, a camp of several hundred migrants formed opposite the train station in Como, Italy. They had been rescued in the Mediterranean Sea a few weeks earlier. Most wanted to continue their journey to northern Europe but were turned back by the Swiss authorities. While waiting for another opportunity to cross, daily life settled into the makeshift camp.
