For several years now, European cities have been crisscrossed by independent delivery drivers, recognizable by their insulated bags and brightly colored outfits bearing the logos of food delivery platforms. These new breed of workers, often precarious, are the symbol and visible face of this new digital economy model promoting self-employment.
