Ten years ago, as part of a series of interviews, I profiled Kader, then 31 years old and of Turkish descent. She was about to marry a fellow countryman. Three months later, the formerly single mother of a ten-year-old daughter was strangled by her new husband. In 2015, ten years after this event, I searched for Kader's daughter Rüya, found her, and let her tell her story.
