Clay pigeon shooting at the Brienz Shooting Festival in Engi near Brienz is considered the most beautiful competition of its kind in Europe. The shooters stand on a hill above a clay pigeon machine, which launches the orange clay pigeons at various heights and directions at the push of a button. Shooting is done with a shotgun and No. 7/2.5 mm steel shot. Anyone, male and female, is eligible to participate.
