This survey was conducted following the Vaud government's announcement of planned investments in the Vaud Alps through 2020. The State Council rejected plans to maintain ski facilities in Château-d'Oex. I attempted to establish how many people in the region make their living from skiing and what the impact of abandoning it would be on the local economy.
