Since the Balkan route shifted westward from Serbia and Hungary, Bosnia has become a focal point for migrants. Thousands of people there are trying to cross the border into Croatia. 17-year-old Adil is one of them; I met him in northern Bosnia. Since 2016, I have been documenting escape routes from the Greek-Turkish border across the Balkans into the EU countries in words and pictures.
