SBB planned a major software acquisition. New cameras at all major stations would record passengers' age, gender, height, and belongings, and link them to shopping data in station shops and travel data on the train. After K-Tipp made the plans public, public outcry led SBB to halt the surveillance plans in the summer of 2023.
