For years, caregivers and relatives reported blatant and dangerous abuses at the "Hand in Hand" nursing home in Hemmental (Schaffhausen). Only after three years of turning a blind eye and discrediting the AZ investigations did the canton close the home in the summer of 2021. An external investigation and a criminal investigation are underway.
