How does the Bern Cantonal Police communicate? What do they emphasize, what do they omit? The federal government has evaluated over 1,800 police press releases. The analysis shows that the Bern police primarily report on accidents and fires in their press releases, while domestic violence receives little mention. This is problematic because it could reduce awareness of crimes committed in private spaces.
