The mountain village of Göschenen has lived off traffic since the Middle Ages, and later suffered as a result. Today, hardly anyone drives through Göschenen. And with the opening of the Gotthard Base Tunnel, it became even quieter. My radio report tells the story of what traffic has done to Göschenen over the decades. And why the future prospects are far from bleak.
