Cornel Sieber is chief physician at the Winterthur Cantonal Hospital. He is also a member of the Lourdes Commission, which investigates unexplained healings at the pilgrimage site. If there is no scientific plausibility, such recoveries can be declared miracles by the Catholic Church.
