But they refuse to go. And for various reasons, they cannot be deported. People trying to maintain their composure in a hopeless situation.

*1979 in Muri/AG. Simon Christen ist seit 2011 Redaktor bei «DOK» und «Reporter». Er studierte an der Universität Zürich Publizistik, Geschichte und Philosophie – master of arts. Parallel zu seinem Studium arbeitete Simon Christen als freier Journalist für diverse Zeitungen, absolvierte ein Volontariat bei der NZZ und eine Stage bei der «Rundschau» des Schweizer Fernsehens. Anschliessend war er ein gutes Jahr Redaktor bei der Sendung «Schweiz aktuell», bevor er in den Bereich Dokumentarfilm und Reportage wechselte.
