Helvecia is a forgotten village in the south of the state of Bahia, whose inhabitants are almost entirely black, with no mixed race. This is surprising considering that the town was founded by the Swiss around 1818. An investigation will reveal the less-than-stellar history of Swiss planters who, over the years, became unscrupulous slave traders.
