Fifty years after the assassination of ML King, I wanted to return to the roots of the fight for civil rights, to meet two living legends of this struggle: Elizabeth Eckford and James Meredith, as well as a witness to Dr. King's last stand, Elmore Nickelberry. Drawing on their experience of the "deep south" of the 50s and 60s, I wanted to understand what ML King's fight means today.
