In the summer of 2018, the drought hit many farmers hard. It was extremely difficult to capture the emotions of the rather reserved Toggenburg farmers on camera. But the emotions of the suffering farmers and the rubbing their hands in anticipation of the livestock buyers were unmistakable. Some of the animals were very thin, and the dealers were buying them at ridiculously low prices.
